About Your Captain

Captain Dave (in the middle)
training for the future.

I grew up spending my summers and weekends in Henderson Harbor. I have navigated and fished the waters of the eastern end of Lake Ontario for over 45 years starting with my first motor boat at the age of twelve. The passion of being on the water and a fishing rod in my hand has never faded. Sharing the beauty of the region, watching others have the thrill of catching a fish, especially the young anglers testing the sport, keeps my passion alive.

If fishing is not your preference and you want to take in the majestic scenery the area has to offer, a leisurely cruise of the Henderson and Sackets Harbor region can be arranged. Share the beauty of the region with friends on board Cynbad. When your day of fun on the water has ended, you can enjoy the fine dining experiences the area restaurants have to offer or extend your stay in one of the many lodging facilities in the area.

Your Captain is a member of the Henderson Harbor Guides Association and is licensed by the United States Coast Guard.

Safety first! Cynbad is fully equipped with latest electronics and safety equipment. Having spent my entire life on the waters of the region and thirty five years as a career safety professional, you can be assured your day will be enjoyable and safe.

-Captain Dave Lyman
